If you see a 1970 Oldsmobile that the vin does not start with 34467 it is not a real 442 convertible! As you can see in the ad and in the pictures this is a true 34467 vin making it an extremely rare Oldsmobile.
In 1970 they made 19,230 442s but out of those only 2,993 were convertibles! This 442 is powered by a 455ci V8 mated to a automatic transmission making it one enjoyable car to drive! A true gentlemen's muscle car! This specific 442 has been owned by an older gentlemen in NY for the last 30 years until we added it to our collection.
He always cherished this car and had it parked in the garage right next to a Plymouth Fury convertible that his father bought new in 1965.
He had the 455 in this Oldsmobile rebuilt 10 years ago but only put 15k miles on it since.
This cars paint shows very well, the white interior is in near perfect shape! As you can see in the pictures we have an original looking radio to replace the 90s style radio that is currently in it.
Under the hood looks pretty close to exactly how it did when it left the factory.
It has Mastercraft white letter tires.
The convertible top will keep you dry if you got caught in the rain but looks to be the original one and shows it age.
The undercarriage of this convertible seems to be all original and is very solid with no rot or any signs of patches.
