Assembler, New Product Introduction

Job Summary:
This Assembler works directly with PDI, KSE New Product Introduction staff and KSE Operations to execute prototype and pilot scope builds, as well as, participate in process development for various operations, including work on prototype and pilot imagers, as well as, DTAs, shafts, scopes, etc. Other duties include record keeping and documentation of work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with Engineers and Technicians to assemble various endoscopes during development phases
Documents all work as required or otherwise requested
Recommend design changes based on outcome of test results
Participates in developing processes for scope assembly, component assembly, Imagers and component reclaim
Participate in development of assembly procedures for new scopes and/or processes developed in the New Product Introduction Department
Coordinate with Supervisors and Leads training schedules for operations staff based on job assignments, new product and/or process launch to meet launch goals
Train manufacturing employees on a multi-shift operation. Employee is required to be flexible regarding availability to conduct training during the trainee's regular shift.
Responsible for recommending trainees for role of Master Trainer and Shift Trainer roles upon completion of initial product/process training
Monitor training and work activities to ensure that assemblers and equipment conform to production or processing standards/goals. Record and document training activities
3 - 5 years assembling miniature precision medical products
Knowledge of KARL STORZ products and production processes
Must be able to operate hand tools utilized in assembly and disassembly of products
Must be able to work with imaging equipment to image capture, image evaluation, quality testing consistent with final quality standards
Soldering experience a plus, ability to be proficient in this skill is required
The Assembler must possess the ability to understand various protocols, apply innovative solutions to moderately complex problems
Must possess ability to understand assembly drawings and written assembly procedures.
Must possess the ability to effectively train peers in production activities and ensure master/ shift trainers are in compliance with all SOPs, quality, and safety standards

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
