I.
Job Purpose:
This person's primary responsibility will be to ensure a high degree of performance and availability of the company ERP system SAP by:
using best practices for architecture and design of ERP systems infrastructure, periodically reviewing and improving design standards to ensure current advances in technology are being used, as well improving redundancy and maximizing the uptime of all ERP systems.
Provide SAP Security escalation support to ensure maximum uptime and security of SAP system accounts.
Mentor, coach and provide technical leadership to supporting teams.
II.
Job Duties:
Administration of the hybrid SAP system landscape (S/4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, BW on HANA, Fiori, ERP / ECC, EWM, CRM, GTS, HCM, MDG, Solution Manager, Business Objects BI Platform, Business Technology Platform, Integration Suite / Cloud Platform Integration, SAP Analytics Cloud, Integrated Business Planning).
Monitoring, analysis, and optimization of the hybrid SAP system landscape Implementation of release upgrades, EhP, and support package updates SAP connection of in-house, customer, and cloud systems Setup and update of test systems through system copies Ensure a high degree of availability, stability, performance, and security of the SAP system landscape Assumption of organizational and coordination tasks Mentoring/guidance/sponsorship for younger or less experienced colleagues Takes over (partial) project leadership for small and medium-sized SAP Basis projects as required Perform system analysis, and reporting of multiple SAP systems Apply system analysis techniques when troubleshooting system outages and or service degradation situations.
Proactively conduct performance monitoring & tuning of the SAP system landscape Maintain J2EE within the SAP environment - administration, update, patch and troubleshooting, escalation Knowledge of technical infrastructure, Networking, and system operations Work with external vendors and internal business units to select hardware and software products that ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, security, and availability of KARL STORZ SAP systems Remain abreast of industry standards and best practices for infrastructure technologies, analyze potential impact on company systems, and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations Add, move change SAP user accounts, when appropriate or when in an escalation situation Maintain SAP groups, roles, and transactions, when appropriate or when in an escalation situation Ensure SAP programs are transported with appropriate security and do not conflict with company SoD standard Completes special projects and priorities as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Education, and Skill Requirements Required Minimum years of relevant work
Experience:
5 years experience in SAP systems, preferably in a large fast-paced business Minimum education, certifications, and/or credentials:
Bachelor's in Business Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Software, or similar fields Minimum hard skill requirements (including computer and application proficiency):
Several years of in-depth SAP Basis knowledge in SAP ERP or other NetWeaver ABAP-based SAP solutions.
Good knowledge of the SAP HANA and SAP ASE databases Confident handling of the Windows and Linux operating systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the SAP area Proven experience in SAP Basis Consulting, Administration, and operational control for Support and Maintenance and Implementation Projects.
Proven process analysis and improvement skills Experience with ticketing systems, such as Service Now Minimum soft skill requirements:
