Overview The Project Engineer III obtains, evaluates, coordinates and distributes the information and authorizations necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified. In the performance of this function, the Project Engineer is responsible to protect and promote the interest of both the business and client in all matters as well as demonstrate the personal characteristics of a mid-level leader. Responsibilities Successfully manage the change management process Participate and meaningfully contribute to monthly cost report meetings Successfully adhere to the project controls procedures to include monthly cost control, pay requests and cost reporting Effective expediting of material deliveries Accurately estimate and prepare shop drawings Continually encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to problems and opportunities Develop business through identifying client needs , identifying Gilbane opportunity matches, and communicating the value and differentiation of Gilbane to prospective clients Proactively review customer feedback, build a customer centric mentality within teams, and demonstrate knowledge of different market sectors and delivery systems to ensure positive customer relations Qualifications KEY COMPETENCIES Communicate Effectively - Listen to understand and clearly convey information in all forms based on the audience to ensure shared meaning of the message Act Inclusively - Ensure that actions and behaviors are respectful; show empathy and treat others with dignity. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management 8 or more years with CM/General Contractor Organization working on $20-$50 mm construction project Or equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Proven capability to establish specific measurable, attainable performance goals and hold others accountable for achieving them Demonstrated ability to build active team participation, team trust and strengthen positive interactions Ability to articulate financial knowledge and customer satisfaction awareness of how the company makes a profit Demonstrated ability to adapt personal communication style to suit the target audience and situation including highly effective presentations, clear and concise writing on complex and sensitive topics, and understanding through paraphrasing and use of relevant examples Strong verbal and written skills Ability to work in a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Financial Management familiarity OSHA 10-Hour Certified MEP Knowledge Understanding of Contract Document & Specifications Proficient in Procore Expertise in CMiC preferred
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real Estate, Business Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
